They know how to use the terrain to their advantage, and they are confident that they can defeat the cavalry troops. - The cavalry troops are also skilled soldiers, but they are outnumbered and outgunned. They are also not familiar with the terrain, and they are at a disadvantage. - The Apache warriors attack the cavalry troops from the high ground.
