"Kindred Spirits", Anne of Green Gables, PEI 2018..... This is a Reproduction of my original Acrylic Painting on Canvas 11x14............................................................ "Kindred Spirits" was inspired by the novel "Anne of Green Gables' by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery in 1908. It recounts the adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11 years old orphan who is mistakenly sent to a middle aged brother and sister who had wanted to adopt a boy to help on their farm in Prince Edward Island. The novels tells Annes story of her life with the Cuthberts, school, being in her new town and her special friendship with Diana Barry her "Kindred Spirit". I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
