Angel in Pink & White: Coffee Mug
This item displays a high relief figure from Naples that is titled merely, "Angel." It was created in the 1700s. However, there are many similar sculptures from the same area and time period titled, "Angel" in existence. To distinguish them, the titles have been slightly altered for this shop. It is possible that Giuseppe Sammartino is responsible for head of this figure. There is a quiet sense of beauty about this angel. One can see that the sculptor was very talented. The sleeves and the bottom of the dress were constructed in a way to convey movement…something is in motion. It may be the angel (with its large wings), the wind, or both. The shades of colours worn by the angel are soft and subdued, which seem fitting for a quiet beauty. Buy it blank inside or add text anywhere. Public domain work. Enhanced by Sharon Lee Hudson.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee.
Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
