The jumping spiders (Salticidae) represent one of the largest, most varied, and most beautiful families of spiders. With their complex courtship rituals, acute eyesight, remarkable predatory behaviour, and advanced navigation skills, salticids could provide many lifetimes of study. These small spiders are often at their most striking when observed face-to-face to appreciate their enlarged ocelli and facial coloration.
