A bright gold and black American Goldfinch perches on a thistle bloom, with an abstract warm summer sky behind him. This is a reproduction of an original oil painting. Colours include gold, black, orange, and white for the bird, and lavender, blue, yellow, and green for the background. The thistle buds provide a bit of cranberry red, which contrasts nicely with the warm gold in the bird. Beautiful! The original painting is signed by the artist at the lower right.
