Vincent van Gogh (Dutch, 1853 - 1890) Almond Blossom, 1890, Oil on canvas Unframed: 73.3 cm x 92.4 cm Vincent van Gogh painted this still life of almond blossoms against a blue sky for his newborn nephew who was named after him. The almond tree is a symbol of this new life. It is a tree that blossoms as early as February in the south of France, where it announces the coming spring. Van Gogh was inspired by Japanese printmaking.

The coasters are gorgeous, a quality feel and heavy weight. They look like a precious archeological find. A rustic stone juxtaposed with a modern floral black and white print. I like the way the print goes slightly imperfect on the cut stone edges giving them a kind-of natural beauty.
They are a great product and I use them to protect the arms of my couch from hot cups of coffee. Printing is good happy with the quality.
