Well....I've been playing around with designing images for about 15 years now. I'm not trained in designing at all; I'm totally self taught, and I still have a lot to learn. (Especially since I don't like reading directions. LOL)
I taught Special Education in a public school for over 20 years, but I have anxiety issues, and it eventually became too much for me to work. In fact, it's extremely difficult for me to even leave my house. SO...now I have even more time to play with designs! :)
The actual selling of my designs started about 7 years ago when I sold bottle cap designs on Etsy. Then about 4 years ago; a co-worker bought a screen-printing machine, and I provided the designs. We did pretty well locally, but she has kind of lost interest, so I had to find another place to design for. LOL I liked the concept of selling on Zazzle as a designer, so here I am. I'm EXTREMELY new here, so it's taking me time to learn the tricks and methods of editing, collections, etc. To be truthful, the money is of secondary importance to me....I get really jazzed when someone actually likes my things enough to buy them, and knowing that somewhere out there, someone is using my things to decorate their house, or to wear, or to....whatever! That's what makes this fun for me. :)
My main goal is to make matching sets for different areas of the house...but then I got on here and saw just how many things I could design on, and just started randomly picking things out. LOL But I'm still committed to the goal of matching room sets. Just don't be surprised to see a pair of leggings, or a pair of flip-flops, or a key ring with the same design.
Lastly, to be honest, I do buy a lot of the design elements used in my designs. I'm not all that artistic on the computer... better with hand drawing, but don't have equipment do transfer that to the computer. Yet.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING IT TO THE END!!!!
