Ali Borgen, Grand Forks, ND, passed away on Jan. 24, 2011, at the age of 14, after a 4-year battle with Leukaemia. It was Ali’s wish that we all keep fighting childhood cancer. In her self-written obituary, Ali wrote, “I don’t know why I was only able to live for 14 years or why I had to have cancer. There were days when I felt like giving up, but I didn’t. I never stopped fighting. Even though I was mad and didn’t pray sometimes, I knew God was with me. Something has to be done so no kid–or anyone–ever has to die of cancer.
