The national flag of Algeria ( Arabic: علم الجزائر, romanised: ʿalam al-jazāʾir, Berber languages: ⴰⵛⴻⵏⵢⴰⵍ ⵏ ⴷⵣⴰⵢⴻⵔ, romanised: Acenyal n Dzayer ) consists of two equal vertical bars, green and white, charged in the centre with a red star and crescent, a symbol of Islam as the nation's prominent faith. The flag was adopted on 3 July 1962. A similar version was used by the Algerian government in exile from 1958–1962.

I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different!
