Alchemy - Spellbinding Post-it Notes

How hard is it to find a decent love potion? So here is my story, I wanted someone to fall in love with me, right? So I go to my local alchemist shop, they mix something up, and I drink it. Only thing is, it tasted terrible. The people behind the counter stared at me like I did a really dumb thing, you don't drink it, you rub it on your skin... Well I got another one, free of charge, because its not like the bottle is marked. They say you rub this on your skin, and whoever you look at, will deeply in love with you. Thing is, they didn't tell me that it works on anything. So when I looked at some animals, they fell for me and wouldn't stop following me. Naturally I had to go back and get a repellent, knowing this time not to drink it, I placed that on my skin, and the animals left. But now I'm out of the love potion, because there wasn't enough. I'm certain this is a con they do to sell more of it.
