Alaska Hubbard Glacier Photo Classic Round Sticker

Hubbard Glacier is the largest glacier in North America. Located in eastern Alaska and part of Yukon, Canada, it is approximately 76 miles long and about 1,200 feet deep. Named after Gardiner Hubbard, this glacier has been nicknamed the "galloping glacier" because of how quickly it's advancing towards the Gulf of Alaska through Disenchantment Bay. It takes about 400 years for ice to traverse the length of the glacier, meaning that the ice at the foot of the glacier is about 400 years old. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs the size of a ten-story building. Where the glacier meets Disenchantment Bay, most of the ice is below the waterline.
