In the account of the Akedah (Gen. 22:1–19), the Binding of Yitzhak (Isaac), Yitzhak, before ascending Mt. Moriah with his father Avraham, notes that while they possess wood and a means of kindling fire, there is no lamb for the sacrifice. Avraham assures him the God himself will provide the lamb. When Avraham raises the knife to slay his son an angel stops him. Avraham then sees a ram caught by its horns in a thicket. That ram was offered in the place of Yitzhak.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
