Ahwahnee Plaque

The Awahnee Print features a beautiful photograph of the destination hotel in Yosemite National Park, California, on the floor of Yosemite Valley, constructed from stone, concrete, wood and glass. This artistic picture was taken by Kurt Keller with a digital 35 mm camera during an educational photography tour following in the footsteps of Ansel Adams in Yosemite National Park. The Ahwahnee, which opened in 1926, was specifically designed to highlight its natural surroundings, featuring Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and Glacier Point. The destination of queens and presidents alike, The Ahwahnee offers a perfect balance of history, hospitality and elegance. It is a premiere example of National Park Service Rustic architecture, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
