Abraham Lincoln Signed Card 1860 Poster
A classic image from Zazzle's extensive collection of historic American Civil War photographs and lithographs. This commemorative poster print features a reproduction of a signed photographic calling card of Abraham Lincoln; known as cartes de visite, these miniature portraits (~2.5" x 4") were invented in France in the early 1850s, and their popularity quickly spread throughout Europe and eventually to the United States; it was common practice before and during the Civil War to acquire such portraits through gift or purchase, mail them to the individuals represented, and hope for their return--signed.

This simple, put profound photograph depicts Abraham Lincoln, on the eve of his winning the Republican Presidential nomination. The quality of the print enhances the impact of the moment.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
