President Abraham Lincoln speaks on the much deserved fate of the men who have deliberately destroyed and damaged the Constitution. "The people are the masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men who would pervert it." Well, we certainly have had some perverts. Here's pervert Bill Clinton on the Constitution: "The Constitution is a radical document … it is the job of government to rein in people‘s rights." - spoken on MTV, 1992; quoted in THE PROPONENT, February, 1996. And who can forget Bill Clinton saying this: "When we got organised as a country and we wrote a radical Constitution with a radical Bill of rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans, it was assumed that the Americans who had that freedom would use it responsibly … And so a lot of people say there‘s too much personal freedom. When personal freedom‘s being abused, you have to move to limit it. That‘s what we did…" And this: "“A lot of people say there’s too much personal freedom. When personal freedom’s being abused, you have to move to limit it.” And this, not be redundant and tedious or anything, “We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.” What a guy!
