Images of and from the Walkway Over the Hudson. The bridge served as a railroad bridge from 1888 until a fire in 1974. In 2009 the now converted footbridge open to the public as a state park The bridge's deck stands 212 feet above the river's surface and is 6,768 feet (1.28 miles) long.
