The design on this product is a design that cause a visual illustion. THe design is of balck background and white lines that cross it. Notice that the intersections are all white (as you can see it you focous on them). Yet, while giving a general non-focous look on the design it seems some have black dots in them. The truth is that the shape, position, colour, and 3D contrast converge to produce the illusion of black dots at the intersections.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs. it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
