A Light of Hope, Pigeon Point Lighthouse Poster
The Pidgin-Point lighthouse towers high over the edge of a rugged cliff. Its setting gave me the inspiration for this powerful ocean scene. The rocky shoreline lends itself perfectly to produce the movement that the water generates when braking against the rock formation of the bluff. The turning of the waves allows me to capture the transluminal reflection of the fading light. For this seascape, I chose realism. This artform respects and preserves the original beauty of the landscape. It is a style that remains timeless, and it is designed to transform the viewer into the scene and to experience its atmosphere.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
