Hawks are birds of prey. I took this picture while hiking through the woods. This hawk had captured the squirrel you see under his feet. With an intense gaze, the hawk patiently awaited the moment the squirrel would succumb. He wasn’t afraid of me taking his picture because he was focused on holding that poor squirrel in preparation for his dinner.
