This is Light Street, looking north. It is densely populated by men and mules. The mules in the foreground are wearing feedbags as well as blankets. What makes this image so exquisite is the man standing in the cart, back to you, centre-bottom of the picture. He's got an enormous tear in the seat of his pants! I was going to fix it for him--but who am I to mess with the historical record?

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
