The 9th Infantry Division played a key role in World War II, the Vietnam War, and the Gulf War, however it is no longer on active duty. The division was renowned for its hardiness and combat effectiveness, especially in North Africa and Europe, and for its ability to command amphibious assaults. Their heroics in battles like the Battle of Normandy and their pivotal role in Operation Torch are documented in history. Using the familiar shoulder insignia of the infantry, this design honours the lengthy history of the 9th Infantry Division. To commemorate the division's long history of service, wear it with pride.

The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
