An active Division since 1917 based at Fort Carson, Colorado. It is composed of four infantry and armoured brigade combat teams, and one combat aviation brigade. A subordinate unit to III Corps & part of Army Forces Command. and has served in World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Iraq & Afghanistan. The division is still on active service.
