The 4th Armoured Division Tribute is intended to honour the US military's distinguished armoured division. This division made history during WWII by leading General Patton's Third Military Force in Europe. Unlike the majority of US armoured divisions, it did not receive an official nickname during the war. However, its unofficial nickname, "Name Enough," emerged after the war, reflecting the division commander's sentiment that "Fourth Armoured Division was name enough" and that "They shall be known by their deeds alone." Prior to its renaming, the division was known as the "Breakthrough" division in 1954. This design is dedicated to both the division and the brave men and women who served with courage and sacrifice.
