20th Degree: Master of the Symbolic Lodge Tie

Introducing “Sacred Symbols” Collection by C.7 Design Studio. Here you will find a unique design, featuring a symbol of the masonic 20th Degree: Master of the Symbolic Lodge or Master ad Vitam. Freemasonry is a fraternal organisation that arose from obscure origins in the late 16th to early 17th century. Freemasonry now exists in various forms all over the world, with a membership estimated at around six million. The fraternity is administratively organised into independent Grand Lodges or sometimes Orientates, each of which governs its own jurisdiction, which consists of subordinate (or constituent) Lodges. There are also appending bodies, which are organisations related to the main branch of Freemasonry, but with their own independent administration. The lessons of the 20° are to dispense light and knowledge and to practice Masonic virtues. This degree shows us Liberty, Fraternity and Equality. These teach moral, religious and philosophical understanding. This degree helps one to comprehend Deity, forces of nature, good and evil. The apron is yellow, bordered in blue, with three concentric point-down triangles, with the Tetragrammaton (horizontal) and "Fiat Lux" (vertical) at the centre, forming a cross. Its triangular shape relates to the "fourth great light, which reminds us of the Deity and his attributes." The jewel is gold, with the same three concentric triangles.
