I didn't think I had enough photos this year to build a calendar for 2026. The day after the November 2025 aurora borealis, we experienced one of the most gorgeous sunrises of the year. I sunk into three inches of gooey mud to capture this cover shot. I decided it was a great enough shot that I could dig into my raptor archives for the other 13 calendar photos. I was surprised to find I actually had quite a few calendar-worthy shots in 2024 and 2025. And many were from or right in my backyard!
