2018 Southern Resident Killer Whale Calendar

Monika Wieland Shields has been observing, photographing, and studying the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales for more than 15 years. All the photos in this calendar came from 2017 encounters with J-, K-, and L-Pods and individual whales are identified on each picture. Net proceeds from the sale of these calendars will be donated to the Orca Behaviour Institute, a non-profit co-founded by Monika that specialises in non-invasive behavioural and acoustic research on the orcas of the Salish Sea and beyond. These calendars make great holiday gifts!
