These soul sister images were originally created by mother and I using a paint by numbers set in 1969. Who knows where my mother found this subject matter, but if it was to be found, she would be the one to find it! I remember feeling such a sense of pride at the completed work and the fact that it looked like us! The women were so regal and fashionable. To this day, they remain my favourite pieces of art! I couldn't think of a better way to commemorate a special time and the bond I had with my mother! Look for variations of these soul sisters on posters, canvas, notecards, tote bags, t-shirts and other funky stuff!
