1933 Vintage Cab Calloway Concert Poster Hi-Res
1933 concert poster for a jazz performance in Sand Lake, Michigan. Features sensational, multi-talented American jazz singer/bandleader Cabell "Cab" Calloway, also known as the "Hi-De-Ho Man" for the distinctive chorus to his song "Minnie the Moocher." His singing and dancing talent plus his confident stage presence made his performances a delight to watch.
Calloway's songs featured in '30s cartoons such as Betty Boop and in more recent years, was a source of inspiration in the 2017 videogame Cuphead. Though famed in his time and greatly influential on future singers, his name faded into some obscurity with the decline of big band music.
High-quality reprint of design originally by Globe Poster Printing Corporation, which printed many such old posters before becoming defunct. Original posters are now extremely rare.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
