1912 TITANIC call for freight Poster
In 1912, a bill putting out the word that the new ship TITANIC will be sailing on her maiden voyage and taking on FREIGHT for all destinations in the United States and Canada. This call for freight launched massive transit and hauling throughout Europe to load the vessel with personal and commercial goods.
Of interest: a liability clause states freight left on the quay is at shipper's risk of loss or damage by fire and/or flood. If for any reason while at sea cargo needs to be offloaded to a smaller vessel ... all the risks will be shouldered by the shipper.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
