The 11th Airborne Division Tribute design honours the brave "Arctic Angels" of the United States military. This airborne unit was established in 1943 and rose to prominence in the Philippines during WWII. The Arctic Angels stood out on the battlefield due to their daring jumps and fierce combat. After their victories, they joined Japan's occupation force, demonstrating their strength and fortitude. By 2022, the US Military Alaska headquarters will be known as the 11th Airborne Division. The 1st and 4th Brigade Combat Teams were renamed the 11th Airborne Division's 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams. This design honours the 11th Airborne Division's legacy, as well as the valiant men and women who served with distinction. Allow their bravery and determination to inspire you.
