This elite airborne unit, established in 1943, rose to prominence for its daring actions in the Philippines during WWII, as well as its significant part in Japan's postwar occupation. The Arctic Angels, known for their daring jumps and unwavering fighting spirit, left a legacy of unrivaled courage and perseverance. The division was reenergized in 2022 with the redesign of Alaska Headquarters, and the 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Teams continue to project force. This watch honours the 11th Airborne Division's long history and pays tribute to those who served with bravery and unflinching dedication.
