【こくもち じぬき たちおもだか】沢瀉紋。 黒い円は黒餅を表現したもの。／黒餅はもともとクロモチと訓で読むべきなのを、慣習上、コクモチと読み、やがてコクモチは発音が石持、すなわち知行を持つの意味にも通じるので、黒餅と記するべきところを、とくに石持の字を当てるいたった（「日本紋章学」）

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
