加賀梅鉢A STANDARD APRON
【かがうめばち】梅紋。これは沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」の図案を参考に、かつ、泡坂妻夫著「卍の魔力、巴の呪力」の梅鉢の作図法（紋の割り出し法に従って円を十割りにするところから始める）を参考に、そして、そこに加賀前田家一門の梅鉢シリーズの一環としての統一性を意識して作図(2013/6/21)したものである。／加賀三代藩主になったのは、利長（我里注：二代藩主）に子供がいなかった上、妻が徳川二代将軍の秀忠の娘・珠姫だったこともあって、利家（我里注：初代藩主）の子ながらも側室の千代が産んだ利常だった。この利常が梅鉢に蕊として、小さく剣をつけた。これが剣梅鉢紋と呼ばれる加賀前田家宗家の梅鉢紋となり、五代藩主の綱紀の時に、前田家宗家の定紋となった。特にこの剣梅鉢紋を「加賀梅鉢」と呼ぶようになる。（楠戸義昭著「日本人の心がみえる家紋」）

I bought this as a little extra gift for my friend for her suprise bridal shower as we were doing a clay making class so it was to protect her outfit! But it’s so beautiful she is also going to keep it for her kitchen (she loves baking).
It’s a really nice length as well, sitting at mid-thigh length. Beautiful colours! Pastel.
