【ろっぽん げんじぐるま】車紋／この呼称は「紋典」「紋章大集成」「日本の紋章」によった。なお、「定紋の研究」では”六葉源氏車”、「紋章の再発見」「紋之泉」「江戸紋章集」「紋の志をり」では”六つ源氏車”、「平安紋鑑」では”六ツ割り源氏車”となっている。／車の模様は「年中行事」、「吉備大臣入唐絵巻」などに多く描かれていて、当時貴族の愛用していたことがわかるが、これは模様としてであって、家紋として定着したのは鎌倉期のはじめである。「太平記」では「小笠原孫六が、まわりを見まわすと車輪の旗が一本築地のうえから見えた」とあるが、この車輪の旗は、紋として用いたものである。（丹羽基二著「家紋大図鑑」より）

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
