【まるにくぎぬき】釘抜き紋／◇│状の座金とテコからなる、テコの原理を応用した、大きな釘をぬく際用いる長大形の古い現存しない大工道具。千金・万力、また九城（くぎ）抜きとも称され、九つの城を攻め落とす力を持つとされ、軍事的な縁起で家紋にされた。（伊藤幸作編「日本の紋章」）/ 大名、麾下の武士に比較的多く用いられただけでなく、奴・下僕の法被の文様として、一般的に使われたが、どんな理由に基づいていたのか、まだはっきりしない（沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」）
