七日市前田家梅鉢
なのかいち まえだけ うめばち／梅紋／この図案は「日本紋章学」のP176を参考にした。なお、ここでの登録上商品名が必要な為、その図案に”七日市前田氏”とあることからこれに”梅鉢”をつけ”七日市前田家梅鉢”としたもので、私が勝手につけた呼称である。／本末嫡庶によって、家紋を区別することは、将軍家に限らず、諸大名の間においても行なわれていた。例えば、前田氏や毛利氏などの場合である。前田氏は一門に分かれて、加賀金沢・同国大聖寺・越中富山・上野七日市の四家となり、ともに梅鉢紋を本紋としているが、この梅鉢紋に各自多少の相異を設けて、これら四家を区別していた。即ち、本宋である金沢前田氏は剣梅鉢を用い、大聖寺前田氏は、この剣梅鉢の剣形を瓜実形にして瓜実梅鉢を用い、富山の前田氏は、これを丁子形とした丁子梅鉢を用い、七日市の前田氏は、これを欠如させた素梅鉢を用いたのである。（沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」より）

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
