Προμηθεύς Prometheus the Titan God as Phone Case

This statue that overlooks Rockefeller Centre's Skating rink, has always been my favourite of all the amazing art at Rock Centre. The artist is Paul Manship. In Greek mythology, Prometheus Greek: Προμηθεύς, pronounced [promɛːtʰeús], meaning "forethought")[1] is a Titan, culture hero, and trickster figure who is credited with the creation of man from clay, and who defies the gods and gives fire to humanity, an act that enabled progress and civilisation. Prometheus is known for his intelligence and as a champion of mankind. And, as though perfectly allied with John D. Rockefeller's personal mission, "In the Western classical tradition, Prometheus became a figure who represented human striving, particularly the quest for scientific knowledge, and the risk of overreaching or unintended consequences."
