Rosie The Riveter ~ Vintage World War II iPhone 4 Case-Mate Case
A wonderful vintage World War II Era Poster titled We Can Do It! Features the famous Rosie The Riveter. At he beginning of World War II the Government needed to attract women to the work force to replace men who had left to fight the war. The government decided to launch a propaganda campaign to sell the importance of the war effort and to lure women into working. They promoted the fictional character of “Rosie the Riveter” as the ideal woman worker: loyal, efficient, patriotic, and pretty. A song, “Rosie the Riveter”, became very popular in 1942. Norman Rockwell’s image on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post on May 29, 1943 was the first widely publicised pictorial representation of the new “Rosie the Riveter”. A few months after Rockwell’s image, the most famous image of Rosie appeared in the government-commissioned poster “We Can Do It”. This poster is of printing quality, high resolution of 600 ppi, it has has been retouched, recolored in areas, cropped and enhanced. This assures that your poster will print with the highest quality possible, no matter what size you choose.

At The Vintage Vamp we obtain high quality images of vintage artwork. Then we use state of the art technology and editing to bring back to life the most compelling images from the past. Unlike a lot of reproductions sold on the Internet, ours have been refurbished to bring out the original colours and fix as many imperfections as possible. We use only PNG format and the largest PPI (pixels per inch) possible, which is the very best for printing. This assures that your image will print with the highest quality possible, no matter what size you choose. Credit: Library of Congress
